Description Agent Manager does not work in Japanese environment

Symptom Agent Manager does not start.

Details If LANG is set to jp_JP.SJIS then Agent Manager fails without an error

message. [Defect ID 0804–021576]

Work-Around Set LANG=C in the NetMetrix, Agent Manager start-up script.

Description The ERM ﬁeld not reset after pressing the RESET button

Symptom The selector that displays the list of ERM selections does not reset when

the reset button on the modify panel is pressed. [Defect ID 0804–016824]

Work-Around To reset the ERM to the correct value, select an ERM from the list.

Description Agent Manager allows you to delete a PVC when it is associated

with an ERM

Symptom Agent Manager does not require you to dissociate a PVC from the ERM

before you delete the ERM. As a result, the ERM entry in the Agent

Manager lists an ERM instance even though Agent Manager does not

have an interface entry.

Details If you try to use the ERM instance to launch applications Agent Manager

reports errors. [Defect ID 0804–021196]

Work-Around Dissociate PVCs from ERMs before deleting them from the probe.

Description Killing Netmetrix does not kill the Java Runtime Environment

Symptom A kill signal sent to the Agent Manager process only terminates the Net-

Metrix execution but leaves the Java Runtime Environment running.

Details Running a script NetMetrix starts the Agent Manager. A kill signal only

stops the execution of the script. [Defect ID 0804–02064]

Work-Around You must send a kill signal to both the NetMetrix process and the Java

Runtime Environment process to fully terminate an Agent Manager ses-

sion. The primary manner to terminate an Agent Manager session is to

use the menu selection File➤Exit.
