Description Packets matched ﬁeld value is negative in Protocol Analyzer

Symptom After an capture has been running for a long time, the packets matched

ﬁeld value becomes negative.

Details If the packets match ﬁeld value grows larger than 2147483648, it is dis-

played as a negative number. [Defect ID 0804–019364]

Work-Around None.

Protanal Analyzer

Description Protanal Analyzer fails to decode Frame Relay LMI PVC Status

message

Symptom FR_LMI Status message show up as errored packets. The detail decode

indicates “DECODE ERROR: invalid PVC status ***”.

Details Protocol Analyzer cannot decode Cisco Frame Relay LMI PVC status

message. [Defect ID 0804–01382]

Work-Around None.

Description Protanal analyzer takes a long time to save packet captures

Symptom Protocol Analyzer takes a long time to save large packet captures.

Details Packet captures of one megabyte or larger take a long time to save. The

time to save is not linear. For example, captures of 10 megabytes take a

lot more time to save than saving ten one megabyte captures.

Description “Load Defaults” menu pick has no function

Symptom Selecting the File➤Load Defaults menu pick from Protanal's toolbar

nothing happens. [Defect ID 0804–022400]

Work-Around None required. This menu item is obsolete and will be removed in a later

release.
