Known Problems and Work-Arounds
30 October 1, 1998
Description Load Monitor Zoom on Protocol does not work in some cases
Symptom If you double click on a Protocol pie graph, subsequent graphs are empty.
For example, if the Zoom path is Protocol➞Source, double clicking on a
specific protocol results in an empty Source graph.
Details This problem occurs only when Protocol is displayed as a pie graph and
you double click on a protocol at a layer other than the lowest level at
which it appears.
For example, if a protocol appears in the pie graph for the Network,
Transport, and Application layers, double-clicking on the protocol’s pie
graph slice in either the Transport or Application pie results in no data
for subsequent graphs in the Zoom path. However, double clicking on the
protocol in the Network pie graph works properly.
This problem is unaffected by the “Accumulate Protocol Layers” data
property.
Work-Around Double click on the protocol in the lowest layer for which it appears, or
display Protocol as a bar graph.
Description When displaying Load Monitor time graph is inaccurate in live
update
Symptom Displaying time graph displays and the next collection interval closes,
utilization is incorrectly reported.
Details Any data points that were put up on the time graph as it initialized are
OK. Any data points that get painted live, as you watch the screen, are
too low in value. The graph plunges at the first data point that came up
after you brought up the screen. [Defect ID 0804–023176]
Work-Around Close the graph and bring it up again.
