Personal Media
With Personal Media, you can connect your home PC or a USB storage device to your TDS TV network. By doing this,
you can stream your photos and music from any networked home PC through your TV sets.
Note: To use the Personal Media feature, your TDS TV set-top boxes and your PC must be connected to the
residential gateway installed by TDS or provided by TDS. Also, this feature requres a Windows-based PC with Windows
Media Player 11 or higher.
Personal Media Sharing supports these formats:
Photos: .jpg or .jpeg
Music: .mp3, .wma, .aac, and .m4a
Playlists: Windows Media Playlist (.wpl) or M3U (.m3u)
3. A list of Voice Mails currently in your mailbox will be displayed. The date and time the messages were left is
shown along with the phone number and name of caller. An envelope graphic on the left side of the
message indicates whether or not you’ve listened to the message. A closed envelope indicates you haven’t
listened to it. An open envelope means you have listened to it.
4. Use the UP and DOWN ARROW buttons on your remote control to navigate through the list of Voice Mails you
have received. To listen to a message, press OK on your remote control.
Note: The media controls on your remote control will not work for playing, pausing, or rewinding your message.
5. As your message plays you can pause it or go back by using the LEFT/RIGHT arrows on your remote
control accordingly.
Note: On-Screen Voice Mail is not updated in real-time. Therefore, if someone leaves a message for you while
you are viewing your Voice Mails, you need to exit and re-enter the application to see the new Voice Mail.
6. To delete a Voice Mail message select the trash can icon in the message listing, using the LEFT or RIGHT
ARROW keys and press OK on your remote control
Note: In the first 24-hours after deleting a message you can restore it. Deleting a message through On-Screen
Voice Mail deletes it from your phone’s mail box, too. If you want to restore a Voice Mail message using your
phone, you are able to do so as long as you do so within 24 hours of deleting it. Just follow these steps: dial
in to your Voice Mail account, accessing the main menu. Choose option 6 (review erased messages), then
choose option 1 (Voice Mail), then choose option 2 (restore).
