Controlling Live (Real-Time) TV

With TDS TV, you can control live TV programming: pause, rewind, and fast-forward.

Here’s how:

1. Press the PAUSE button on your remote control to freeze your current program for up to 90 minutes.

You’ll see the frozen program, along with an indicator, which displays:

  •Thepausedtime(shownasaverticallinewiththetimebelowit).

  •Andtheamountoftimeelapsedsinceyoupausedtheprogram(shownastheshadedareaafter pause time).

If you pause longer than 90 minutes, the program automatically begins playing again from the point

at which you paused it.

2. Press PLAY or PAUSE to resume the program from the point at which you paused it.

You can also do the following:

  •PressFF or SKIP to fast-forward continuously or skip forward in short segments up to the point at

which the program is playing in real time. Press FF once, twice, or three times to increase your

fast-forward speed.

  •PressREW or REPLAY to rewind continuously or skip backward in short segments. Press REW once, twice,

or three times to increase your rewind speed.

The Progress Indicator for Recording Live TV

Press PLAY to display the progress indicator for recording live TV shows. This indicator shows:

  •Thepointyouarewatchingintherecordedportion,indicatedbyaverticallinewiththetimebelowit.

  •Howfaryoucanrewindorfast-forward,indicatedbytheshadedareasbeforeandafterthepointinthe

program you are currently watching.

  •ThepointatwhichyouwouldbewatchingliveTV,indicatedbytheendoftheforwardshading.

Note: The progress indicator disappears after a few seconds.
