Quick Configuration

The Logical Segments Display menu appears.

Step3 Type the hex value of the segment (ring) number (displayed in decimal and (hex)

notation) you plan to connect to the Cisco Catalyst 1800. Then configure each port to

match that segment number. Note that all segment numbers default to 101(x65).

Customizing the System Descriptions

If you want to customize the Cisco Catalyst 1800 system descriptions, perform these steps:

Step1 Type this command at the Cisco Catalyst 1800 Main menu:

Configure<SP>System <SP>

Step2 The Configure System Information menu appears, displaying this prompt:

Step3 To display the System Information menu, type this command:

con sys display
