Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration

Windows XP has a built-in wireless configuration utility.

If you prefer to use the Windows XP Wireless Zero

Configuration Utility to control your adapter, you must

first uninstall the Linksys Wireless Manager.

NOTE: If your network is using WPA2 encryption,

make sure that you have installed the Update

for Windows XP (KB893357), available at

www.microsoft.com.

1. To uninstall the Linksys Wireless Manager, go to

Start > Control Panel.

2. The Control Panel window opens. Click the Add or

Remove Programs icon.

3. Select Linksys Wireless Manager from the list of

programs in the Add or Remove Programs window.

4. The Uninstall screen opens. Click Yes to uninstall the

Linksys Wireless Manager.

5. When the uninstall is complete, you will be asked if

you want to restart your computer. Select Yes.

6. After your computer restarts, the Windows XP Wireless

Zero Configuration icon appears in your computer’s

system tray. Double-click the icon.
