BitLocker
Drive Encryption (BitLocker) is a data protection feature available in Windows Server
®
2008.
BitLocker uses the enhanced security capabilities of a TPM. The TPM works with BitLocker to help protect user
data and to ensure that a server running Windows Server 2008 has not been tampered with while the system was
offline. Due to import licensing restrictions, the TPM cannot be shipped to Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
