TN3270 Configuration

For TN3270 conﬁguration, the mainframe remains the same as with a PU 2.1 deﬁnition. A switched major node

member in SYS1.VTAMLST is deﬁned and, within that member, the PU is deﬁned. The LU deﬁnitions within

each PU can be deﬁned statically or dynamically. A static LU deﬁnition means that each LU with a LOCADDR

parameter is hard-coded within the switched major node member. A dynamic LU is deﬁned using DDDLUs.

TN3270 Server Configuration Modes

There are severalTN3270 conﬁguration modes and router command prompts that youuse when conﬁguring the

TN3270 Server. These conﬁguration modes and command prompts are described in this section. The TN3270

Server can be conﬁgured only on port 2, the internal LAN port, of a CIP card or port 0 of the CPA.

TN3270 conﬁguration modes described in this section include the following:

• TN3270 Server Conﬁguration Mode

• DLUR Conﬁguration Mode

• DLUR SAP Conﬁguration Mode

• PU Conﬁguration Mode

TN3270 Server Conﬁguration Mode

From interfaceconﬁguration mode, the tn3270-servercommand puts you inTN3270 Server conﬁguration mode.

DLUR Conﬁguration Mode

From TN3270 Server conﬁguration mode, the dlur command puts you in DLUR conﬁguration mode.

From DLUR server conﬁguration mode, the lsap command puts you in DLUR SAP conﬁguration mode.
