Step 11
Click Next> to send a force switch command, forcing traffic to the protect lines. The Span Upgrade
Dialog box appears showing Step 7 of the wizard (Figure 4-15).

Step 12 Wait 5 to 10 seconds for the command to take effect and click Next>. An error dialog box appears if
more time is needed. The Span Upgrade Dialog box appears showing Step 8 of the wizard (Figure 4-16).

Remove the fiber and ensure that traffic is still running.
