BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR CONTRACTORS
The successful vendor will be required to assure that its employees, subcontractors of any tier,
material suppliers, and consultants do not have direct contact with the District’s students during the
performance of the Contract in compliance with Educational Code § § 45125.1 and 45125.2. To
assure these provisions, the successful Vendor’s supervisor shall be fingerprinted, and proof of same
shall be provided to the District prior to start of on-site work. The supervisor will monitor the
workers’ conduct while on school grounds. In addition, the successful Vendor shall barricade the
Work area to separate its workers from the students (See Section 01015). Also, costs associated with
this process are the responsibility of the successful Vendor.
The Contractors’ construction supervisors or their unsupervised employees who will be working
outside of fenced areas during the school hours must
have submitted a fingerprint identification card
to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and have a proof of clearance in the form of an affidavit filed in
the Rosemead School District’s Business Office prior to
the start of the Work2.
