The$next$step$was$to$telnet$to$the$OpenOCD$command$line$interface$and$perform$the$

‘jtag$init’$func6on.$Which$upon$success$should$look$like$this:

I$now$had$a$func6oning$JTAG$communica6on$channel$to$the$Xilinx$chip.$However,$there$

was$not$much$I$could$accomplish$with$that.$During$this$process,$the$one$thing$I$failed$to$

realize$was$that$there$wasn’t$much$of$anything$I$could$gain$from$this$par6cular$JTAG$

access.$JTAG$is$a$very$open$protocol$which$deﬁnes$very$few$opera6ons.$My$main$goal$

was$to$gain$access$to$the$PicoChip$or$the$Flash$chip$connected$to$it.$These$would$have$

showed$up$in$the$auto$probe$if$they$were$in$the$JTAG$chain.$Although$this$was$an$

excellent$learning$experience,$it$got$me$no$closer$to$my$goal.
